2025 EVENT DETAILS AND DESCRIPTIONS
RIVER RANCH WINE WALK Tuesday 3 – 6 PM Our version of a Grand Tasting with all vintners set up along stunning riverside estate properties with vintners pouring tastings for guests. All vintners are asked to participate. This event lasts 3 hours (3-6 pm) and we expect roughly 250 guests. MAGNUM PIG ROAST Tuesday 6:30 – 9:30 PM This event takes place right after our River Ranch Wine Walk and is exclusive to our Grand Cru patrons and participating vintners only. It features a casual, traditional pig roast dinner. We ask each vintner to contribute 1-2 magnums of wine to share with the guests. It’s a fun evening to mingle with fellow vintners and connect with our most loyal wine auction patrons. _________ VINTNER ADVENTURES (new in 2025) Wednesday Day Time New to the schedule in 2025, we will offer a variety of ticketed experiences with vintners on Wednesday during the day. These experiences include a Cycle and Sip event, a golf scramble, river rafting, hiking, and a shooting range adventure—each ending with wine tasting and mingling with guests. These experiences are primarily intended for our Premiere Cru Plus vintners. VINTNER DINNERS Wednesday Evening Traditional vintner dinners will be held on Wednesday evening at private residences across the valley. Each dinner will feature 2 to3 of our Grand Cru vintners. Details for each dinner will be coordinated directly with the participating vintners. --------------------- IMPORTANT DETAILS ON THE 2025 ART & WINE GALA Thursday Night To guard against weather and ensure the best possible experience for our patrons, we have made the decision to move the Art and Wine Gala indoors this year to the Argyros Center for the Performing Arts. It's an incredible space, and we are excited to share it with you! However, one constraint of this space is capacity. We will be limited in numbers this year but are excited to host an intimate gala event. Because of this, we will be unable to seat most vintners with guests (regardless of participation levels). Instead, we will encourage vintners to walk the floor, pouring wine and mingling with patrons. We will also have a wine tasting portion of the evening before dinner. Vintners attending the Gala this year will be served in the balcony overlooking the event floor. Vintners will still be able to see the full event and participate in the fun while also being visible to guests on the floor. It's a change but we promise it will still be fun and leave you with plenty of opportunities to interact with guests! If you have any questions or concerns about this plan, please reach out to Eliza at eyoung@svmoa.org.

How do I confirm my attendance at the 2025 Sun Valley Wine Auction? Please complete the “Winery Confirmation Form" on the website by 4/1/25.
-
Where do I stay while attending the auction?Upon request, SVMoA will attempt to find accommodations for vintners at patron guest homes. Please inform SVMoA by 4/1/2025 if you are requesting accommodations arranged by SVMoA. Most accommodations arranged by SVMoA will involve shared living spaces, and in most cases, SVMoA can only guarantee one bedroom per participating winery. Wineries are responsible for booking and covering the cost of any additional rooms required. SVMoA-provided housing will be available only for the dates of June 23–June 27. Any additional dates must be arranged separately by the winery. Please note that SVMoA cannot guarantee housing for all vintners, nor can it ensure that accommodations will meet the required standards. Vintners are encouraged to make their own accommodation arrangements if they have specific housing needs, concerns, or if they plan to stay beyond the provided dates. If you prefer to stay at a hotel or home rental - discounted hotel rates are available at the Limelight hotel and through Alpine Lodging.
-
What day should I plan to arrive in and depart from Sun Valley? We encourage vintners to arrive on Monday the 23rd or Tuesday the 24th. On Tuesday we have our River Ranch Wine Walk from 3-6 PM (All Vintners Included) and our Magnum Pig Roast at 6:30 (all vintners asked to bring a Magnum of wine and all are invited). There are no formally scheduled events on Friday June 27th so this is the suggested departure date.
-
When and how will my wines be shipped to Sun Valley?Wine Shipment Information Wines shipped from the Napa/Sonoma area will be shipped by our shipping partner Cobalt Wine Logistics. All wine must be received for consolidation by 05/29/2025 at the following address: Cobalt Wine Logistics 740 Airport Road Napa, CA 94558 SVMOA will provide labels for boxes and wine donation forms by 5/1/2025. Wine can be delivered to Colbalt as soon as labels for boxes have been received and wine donation form has been submitted. PLEASE NOTE: Any wine not received for consolidation by 5/29/2025 must be shipped to SVMoA or our local consolidator at the wineries expense by no later than 06/05/2025
-
How many guests are expected to attend each event?Vintner Dinners typically range between 22 to 28 guests with most dinners averaging 22 guests. This year we are planning for 200 guests to attend the Art + Wine Party and Live Auction. Vintner Adventure events will range in size but most will be between 15 -20 guests. We plan for 60 guests to attend the Cycle and Sip Event.
-
What is the recommended amount of wine I send for each event? These quantities will also be listed on the Vintner Donation Form before the wine listing for each event. Our recommendations this year are as follows: Magnum Pig Roast: 1 1.5L per vintner (if you want to send something more significant, that is always welcome) Vintner Dinners: TBD on how many courses, typically 2 cases River Ranch Wine Walk: 1-2 cases Live Auction/Gala: 1 cases
-
Should I let our local distributor know I plan to attend the Sun Valley Wine Auction?Yes! We strongly encourage all vintners to contact their local distributor to let them know that you are coming to town! We will also provide vintners with a list of participating wineries. Your distributor is often able to arrange private tastings for you and is eager to support you to ensure the week is a success for your label and brand.
-
If I miss the deadline to send my wine to Cobalt for consolidation, how do I get my wine to the event?Contact Art Daves (art.daves14@gmail.com), our Wine Coordinator to discuss shipping directly to SVMOA
-
How do I get to each event? In most instances, we ask vintners to get themselves to each event - a car rental is recommended for getting around Sun Valley but if you are staying at a local hotel - they likely have a shuttle service. There are also Ubers and Lyfts available but they are not overly reliable if you are going far outside the Ketchum/Hailey area.
-
Can I bring marketing materials with me?Yes! These events are as much about celebrating what you do and supporting the arts. Please bring all marketing materials in your care to events. More oversized items, such as branded shade canopies for the River Ranch Wine Walk, can be shipped ahead of time to the museum and will be brought in our care to the event. Please send any larger items to: ATTN: Kagen Albright Sun Valley Museum of Art 191 5th Street East Ketchum, ID 83340
-
When should I have all my wine sent to the valley? For California-based vintners, please have all wine into our consolidator at Cobalt Logistics no later than May 29th. For Oregon and Washington-based vintners, you can send your wine to Cobalt (see address above) or contact Art Daves (art.daves14@gmail.com) for instructions on sending the wine directly to us at the museum.
-
I have wine that will be included in an auction lot. Should I send it to you along with my wines for other events? We prefer, for both legal and logistical reasons, that any wine you provide to a winning bidder be sent directly to said winning bidder following the auction. SVMoA will work as the middleman in connecting you and the winner.
-
What happens to my wine after arrival in Sun Valley?Any wine sent through Cobalt will go to our local consolidator S&C for cataloging by wine auction staff. We will contact you about any discrepancies. S&C is a temperature-controlled facility, so top-quality wine is ensured when enjoyed by our patrons and yourselves. Any wine not sent through Cobalt (sent directly to the museum) will be sent to temperature controlled storage.
