How do I confirm my attendance at the 2025 Sun Valley Wine Auction? Please complete the “Winery Application" on the website by 1/31/25. SVMoA will notify all applicants with decisions by 2/15/25.
-
Where do I stay while attending the auction?Upon request, SVMoA will attempt to find accommodations for vintners at patron guest homes. Please inform SVMoA by 4/1/2025 if you are requesting accommodations arranged by SVMoA. Most accommodations arranged by SVMoA will involve shared living spaces, and in most cases, SVMoA can only guarantee one bedroom per participating winery. Wineries are responsible for booking and covering the cost of any additional rooms required. SVMoA-provided housing will be available only for the dates of June 23–June 27. Any additional dates must be arranged separately by the winery. Please note that SVMoA cannot guarantee housing for all vintners, nor can it ensure that accommodations will meet the required standards. Vintners are encouraged to make their own accommodation arrangements if they have specific housing needs, concerns, or if they plan to stay beyond the provided dates. If you prefer to stay at a hotel or home rental - discounted hotel rates are available at the Limelight hotel and through Alpine Lodging.
-
What day should I plan to arrive in and depart from Sun Valley? We encourage vintners to arrive on Monday the 23rd or Tuesday the 24th. On Tuesday we will have a gathering for just Vintners to get everyone introduced and prepared for the week. There are currently no scheduled events on Friday June 27th.
-
How many guests are expected to attend each event?Vintner Dinners typically range between 24 to 40 guests with most dinners averaging 30 guests. This year we are planning for 250 guests to attend the Art + Wine Party and Live Auction. Vintner Adventure events will range in size but most will be between 15 -25 guests. We plan for 60 guests to attend the Cycle and Sip Event.
-
What is the recommended amount of wine I send for each event? These quantities will also be listed on the Vintner Donation Form before the wine listing for each event. Our recommendations this year are as follows: Magnum Pig Roast: 2 1.5L per vintner (if you want to send something more significant, that is always welcome) Vintner Dinners: 2 cases Live Auction/Gala: 2-3 cases River Ranch Wine Walk: 1-2 cases
-
How do I know if we will be part of a Vintner Dinner?Vintner dinners will be confirmed with Grand Cru participating vintners on or by 2/15/25.
-
Should I let our local distributor know I plan to attend the Sun Valley Wine Auction?Yes! We strongly encourage all vintners to contact their local distributor to let them know that you are coming to town! We will also provide vintners with a list of participating wineries. Your distributor is often able to arrange private tastings for you and is eager to support you to ensure the week is a success for your label and brand.
-
If I miss the deadline to send my wine to NCL for consolidation, how do I get my wine to the event?Don’t worry, you can contact Kagen Albright, our Wine Coordinator, at kalbright@svmoa.org or (208)720-8518 to organize shipping directly to our local consolidators.
-
How do I get to each event?Shuttles run from the Limelight Hotel to many of the events; scheduling will be communicated as needed.
-
I have chosen the wines I am bringing to each event. Where do I send them to be shipped to the valley? Please send the wine with our provided shipping labels attached to our consolidators at North Coast Logistics for transportation to the Sun Valley using the following address: ATTN: Tammie Pisors North Coast Logistics, Inc 1129 Industrial Ave #104 Petaluma CA 94952 707-584-8100
-
Can I bring marketing materials with me?Yes! These events are as much about celebrating what you do and supporting the arts. Please bring all marketing materials in your care to events. More oversized items, such as branded shade canopies for the River Ranch Wine Walk, can be shipped ahead of time to the museum and will be brought in our care to the event. Please send any larger items to: ATTN: Kagen Albright Sun Valley Museum of Art 191 5th Street East Ketchum, ID 83340
-
When should I have all my wine sent to the valley? For California-based vintners, please have all wine into our consolidator at North Coast Logistics no later than Friday, May 24. For Oregon and Washington-based vintners, you can send your wine to NCL (see address above) or contact Kagen Albright for instructions on sending the wine directly to us at the museum.
-
I have wine that will be included in an auction lot. Should I send it to you along with my wines for other events? We prefer, for both legal and logistical reasons, that any wine you provide to a winning bidder be sent directly to said winning bidder following the auction. SVMoA will work as the middleman in connecting you and the winner.
-
What happens to my wine after arrival in Sun Valley?Any wine sent through NCL goes to our local consolidator S&C for cataloging by wine auction staff. We will contact you about any discrepancies. S&C is a temperature-controlled facility, so top-quality wine is ensured when enjoyed by our patrons and yourselves. Any wine not sent through NCL (sent directly to the museum) will be sent to S&C upon arrival. Any overflow resulting from an unlikely lack of capacity at S&C will be brought to SVMoA's temperature-controlled wine cellar.
